Averatek Corporation

Averatek Corporation develops and licenses advanced manufacturing processes for a variety of electronic products including: very high density printed circuit boards, semiconductor packaging and RF and millimeter wave passive components. In addition, Averatek develops and sells the key chemistry that enables these advanced manufacturing processes.

Our History

Averatek Corporation was founded by SRI International, a global contract research and development institution and a team of Silicon Valley entrepreneurs. SRI was part of Stanford University as the Stanford Research Institute from 1946 until 1970 when it became an independent non-profit contract research firm. Scientists at SRI invented and patented the technology that is at the heart of the Averatek process. SRI remains a major shareholder in Averatek.

Haris Basit

Chief Executive Officer

Previously CEO and Founder at several successful tech companies, including Multigig, fabless semiconductor sold to Analog Devices. Senior leadership positios at Lucent (Bell Labs division); Rockwell, and IBM Research Labs.

Sunity Sharma, Ph.D.

Chief Scientist

Inventor of Averatek technology. Was previously at SRI International for 20 years.

Mike Vinson

Chief Operating Officer

Previously at SRI Sarnoff Labs; Universal Instruments; Kulicke & Soffa; and Avo Photonics.

Tara Dunn

VP Marketing & Business Development

Previously President of Omni PCB, a technical rep firm focused on PCBs (flex, rigid flex, RF microwave designs, and microelectronics).

John W. Johnson

VP of Sales and Customer Support

Was President at Electrotek Corporation, a PCB company. Previously with GE, Honeywell, Memorex and Burroughs.

Shinichi (Steve) Iketani

VP of Engineering

Previously with Panasonic and Sanmina with 30 years in the printed circuit board industry.
